Coolant is a mixture of water and antifreeze, and it absorbs heat from the engine and then transports it to the radiator, where the heat is removed by heat exchange. The pump starts when the coolant is released and continues to run until the engine temperature drops below a preset level. A pump can wear out naturally or fail due to a blown fuse or electrical fault. If the pump isn't working, coolant will still be released but won't move through the system. Your engine will rapidly overheat and could suffer serious damage. If your engine temperature rises for no apparent reason, contact us right away. The redesigned exterior has a sporty look, with the base LS getting 17-inch steel wheels, power side mirrors, and LED lights. Like all the other models, the LS is powered by a 1.2L turbo engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission to produce 137 horsepower. The Trax's interior is now more spacious thanks to the longer wheelbase. The base LS gets cloth seats, an 8-inch color touchscreen display, and a four-speaker audio system. There is an available LS Convenience Package that adds remote start, heated front seats, and heated outside mirrors.
