5. The Powertrain Options
The standard 5.3-liter V8 engine delivers 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft of torque. This amazing powertrain gives the Suburban its best maximum towing capacity, reaching 8,300 pounds with the available Maximum Trailering Package. There’s also an available 6.2-liter V8 engine, which delivers 420 horsepower. This option is standard on the High Country trim, and available for the RST, Z71, and Premier trims.
