The 2025 Chevy Silverado EV is a powerhouse built for those who don’t settle for small. It keeps all the big range, power, comfort, and real-truck attributes that made the 2024 model stand out, then flexes a few new muscles to remind you who’s in charge of the EV truck game.

What’s New
Initially offered in Work Truck (WT) and high-end RST trims, the Silverado EV now adds a new mid-range LT trim. This model upgrades the base variant with heated and ventilated front seats, a seven-speaker Bose system, available Super Cruise (the only advanced driver system to offer hands-free trailering), and optional 22-inch wheels (up from the standard 18-inch wheels).
Battery and Range
The Silverado EV gives you three battery options: the all-new standard range, extended range, or max range. Opt for the max range battery, and the EPA says you can hit up to 492 miles in the WT trim and 460 miles in the RST model. To put those figures into perspective, the F-150 Lightning taps out at 320 miles, and the Rivian R1T at 420 miles.
If you’re eyeing other trims or battery choices, you’ll still get impressive range, with the shortest being 282 miles (thanks to the Silverado EV WT with the standard range battery). When it comes to charging, the Silverado EV can add 34 miles of range per hour when plugged into a Level 2 charger. If hooked to a DC fast charger, it can add 100 miles of range in ten minutes.
Power and Trucking Capability
As mentioned earlier, the 2025 Silverado EV is all about big everything, and the numbers back it up. The base trim kicks off things with 510 horsepower, the LT bumps it up to 645 horsepower, while the RST, the performance king of the lineup, delivers up to 760 horsepower, 785 pound-feet of torque, and a 0-60 mph time of under 4.5 seconds. The maximum available towing capacity is 12,500 pounds.
In the back, you’ve got a versatile 5′ 11” long bed, ready to haul whatever you need, be it camping gear for the family trip or tools and supplies for the job. If you need more room, just fold down the 60/40 split flip-and-fold seat. And for those massive items, the Silverado EV’s bed can be configured with the available Multi-Flex Midgate with pass-through to fit items up to 10′ 10”.
